Waaree Solar Americas, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Waaree Energies Limited (WEL), has commenced commercial production of solar modules at its manufacturing facility in Brookshire, Texas, with a capacity of 1,600 MW.
The facility’s operations mark a significant step in localising solar module manufacturing in the United States, contributing to job creation and reducing reliance on imported solar products. The Texas facility is expected to produce high-quality photovoltaic modules to meet the increasing demand for renewable energy solutions in North America.
In the same month, WEL supplied 132.5 MWp of high-performance 575/580 MWp n-Type TOPCon solar modules to Radiance Renewables Private Limited. Also in the same month, WEL secured a Letter of Award to supply 180 MW solar modules, for a renowned renewable energy company in India, with delivery scheduled for the FY 2025-26.
