Mumbai – Vikran Engineering Limited has successfully commissioned the strategically significant 132 kV Miao–Namsai Transmission Line in Arunachal Pradesh. The project marks a key milestone in strengthening power transmission infrastructure in the North Eastern Region and supports the development of a more resilient and reliable electricity network.

The project comprises 40.630 kilometres of transmission line and 138 tower foundations, including two highly challenging pile foundations executed under difficult geological conditions. Successfully delivering the project across one of India’s most demanding terrains underscores Vikran Engineering’s engineering excellence, technical expertise, and execution capabilities.

Recognising its strategic importance for strengthening Arunachal Pradesh’s power infrastructure, the project was closely monitored by the Ministry of Power, Government of India, throughout its execution.

The commissioning of the transmission line is expected to significantly strengthen the power supply network in Arunachal Pradesh, improve the reliability of the existing transmission system, connect remote areas to the National Grid, and facilitate the evacuation and integration of upcoming hydropower projects across the Northeastern Region (NER). The project will play an important role in enhancing energy accessibility while supporting the region’s long-term economic growth and infrastructure development.

Commenting on the achievement, Mr. Rakesh Markhedkar, Chairman & Managing Director, Vikran Engineering Limited, said:

“The successful commissioning of the 132 kV Miao–Namsai Transmission Line is a proud milestone for Vikran Engineering and reflects our unwavering commitment to building critical infrastructure that powers India’s growth. Executing a strategically significant project in the challenging terrain of Arunachal Pradesh demanded exceptional engineering expertise, meticulous planning, and the relentless dedication of our project teams. We are grateful to the Ministry of Power, our client, partners, and all stakeholders for their trust and collaboration throughout this journey.

Beyond strengthening the power transmission network in the North Eastern Region, this project will support the integration of upcoming hydropower capacity, improve energy accessibility, and contribute to the nation’s vision of a reliable, resilient, and sustainable power infrastructure. At Vikran Engineering, we remain committed to delivering world-class engineering solutions that connect communities and enable India’s long-term energy security and development.”

The successful completion of this landmark project further strengthens Vikran Engineering’s position as a trusted partner in developing India’s critical power infrastructure. The company continues to execute complex transmission and substation projects across diverse geographies, delivering engineering excellence across challenging terrains while supporting India’s expanding energy needs and accelerating the development of reliable, sustainable, and future-ready power networks.
