Anand Vihar, Delhi : Uber announced a partnership with the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) to provide app-based last-mile connectivity services across the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor, India’s first regional rapid transit system. Namo Bharat is a new rail-based, dedicated, high speed, high capacity, comfortable commuter service connecting regional nodes in NCR.

Uber and NCRTC have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance last-mile connectivity for the Namo Bharat corridor. Uber’s cars, autos, and two-wheelers will be available at all operational Namo Bharat stations, including Anand Vihar, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, and Meerut South. As the additional sections on the corridor get commissioned, these services will extend to all 25 stations. Riders will benefit from designated pick-up points, directional signage within stations, and in-train announcements, making transfers from train to road seamless and efficient.

As part of a major introductory push to make an immediate impact, new users can enjoy up to 25% off on their first 5 cab trips (up to ₹75) and up to 50% off on their first 5 moto rides (up to ₹30), valid for 15 days from signup.

Manish Bindrani, Head of Supply, Uber India & South Asia, said, “We are proud to support one of India’s most ambitious transit projects. By enabling integrated last-mile mobility, we’re advancing shared transportation, reducing reliance on private vehicles and helping cities meet climate and traffic congestion goals. Our aim is to make it easy for every Namo Bharat train rider to complete their journey – whether heading to an office in Delhi or a home in Meerut.”

Shalabh Goel, Managing Director, NCRTC, said, “This partnership with Uber is another important step towards strengthening last-mile connectivity along the Namo Bharat Corridor, offering commuters a convenient and integrated travel experience. It aims to enhance the modal shift towards public transportation, and in turn help enable significant reduction in vehicular congestion and air pollution in the region.“

Uber’s collaboration with NCRTC advances the company’s global mission to integrate with public transport and support cities in the shift towards sustainable, tech-enabled mobility. By offering seamless multimodal connections, this initiative will help reduce private vehicle use, lower emissions, and ease traffic across the NCR – contributing to India’s goals for cleaner, more livable cities.

The partnership builds on Uber’s growing transit portfolio, including metro ticketing in Delhi, with plans to expand to Chennai and Mumbai soon. It reinforces its commitment to support government-led urban mobility efforts.

Riders on the Delhi–Meerut Namo Bharat corridor can expect a modern travel experience, with dedicated pickup points, clear Uber signage, in-train announcements, and app-based wayfinding. The Namo Bharat corridor is expected to cut commute times to one-third between Delhi and Meerut and serve over 8.0 lakh daily riders once fully operational.

National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) – a joint venture company of Govt of India and States of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, and U.P, under the administrative control of Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, is mandated for implementing the Namo Bharat project across the National Capital Region of India, ensuring balanced and sustainable urban development through better connectivity and access.
