Suzlon Group and Torrent Power Limited have secured a new 486 MW hybrid order. Under this agreement, Suzlon will supply 162 S144 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with Hybrid Lattice Towers (HLT), each having a rated capacity of 3 MW, to be installed in the Bhogat region of Gujarat.
This partnership, spanning over a decade, has enabled Suzlon and Torrent Power to achieve 1 GW of cumulative orders across Gujarat and Karnataka in wind energy. The S144 turbines, known for their performance even in low-wind conditions, have been instrumental in delivering reliable and sustainable power.
In December 2024, Suzlon Group and JSP Green Wind 1 Private Limited, a subsidiary of Jindal Renewables,joined forces for a 302.4 MW wind power project in the Koppal region of Karnataka, bringing their total collaboration to 702.4 MW.
