Solarcity Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of G Capital Bhd (GCAP), has commissioned a 2,000 kW solar photovoltaic (PV) system in Malaysia. The system was installed under a supplemental power purchase agreement with Chin Herr Industries (M) Sdn Bhd, a unit of Chin Well Holdings Bhd.
The installation was completed and began operations in July 2024. This project was a part of the original PPA dated May 2022, and the supplemental PPA dated January 2024. The solar PV system is located at Chin Herr’s Bukit Tengah Industrial Estate, Penang, Malaysia. The solar PV system is expected to provide revenue and earnings for GCAP over a 25-year period from its commercial operation date.
