SJVN Limited has issued a request for proposals to develop 1,200 MW inter-state transmission system connected solar projects, To be located anywhere in India, the projects will be set up as a part of tariff-based competitive bidding.
According to the tender guidelines, the bidders are required to submit Rs 942,000 per MW per project as an earnest money deposit. Before signing the power purchase agreement, the developers are required to furnish Rs 2.35 million per MW of the allocated capacity as a performance bank guarantee. The bid submission deadline is June 17, 2024.
The bidder can offer the minimum and maximum capacity of 50 MW and 600 MW, respectively. Additionally, bidders are allowed to propose projects at various locations, provided that each project has at least a 50 MW capacity. Furthermore, SJVN has mandated the use of indigenously manufactured solar modules listed in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.
Recently, in April 2024, SJVN Limited inaugurated India’s first multi-purpose (combined heat and power) green hydrogen pilot project at its 1,500 MW Nathpa Jhakri hydro power station (NJHPS) in Jhakri, Himachal Pradesh.
