Saatvik Solar Industries Private Limited, a material subsidiary of Saatvik Green Energy Limited, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Industrial Promotion and Investment Corporation of Odisha Limited (IPICOL), Government of Odisha, for setting up a 3.6 GW solar cell manufacturing facility at Gopalpur in Ganjam district, Odisha.
The facility will constitute Phase II of Saatvik Solar’s manufacturing expansion at Gopalpur. The company is already developing an integrated manufacturing facility under Phase I, where construction and equipment installation have progressed significantly. The dedicated 220 kV substation is ready for charging, while manufacturing lines are undergoing installation, testing and validation. Meanwhile, Phase II is targeted to commence commercial production by FY 2028.
