Purvah Green Secures 300 MW Solar Project from CESC Limited

Purvah Green, a subsidiary of CESC Limited has been awarded a project to develop a 300 MW solar photovoltaic project by CESC Limited themselves. Of the total, 150 MW is under tariff-based bidding competition, the rest has been included under the greenshoe option. The project is under a power purchase agreement of 25-years.

In July 2024, CESC Limited bought a 63.91 per cent equity stake in Purvah Green for Rs 2.05 billion to make it a direct subsidiary. In May 2023, CESC Limited declared Amp Energy India as the winner of the 150 MW wind-solar hybrid auction at a tariff of Rs 3.07 per unit.
