NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has signed MoU with Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company (MPPGCL) for the development of 20 GW green energy projects in Madhya Pradesh (MP). MPPGCL and NGEL will collaborate to establish a joint venture company to fulfill the renewable generation obligation of MPPGCL and the renewable purchase obligation of the state’s distribution companies.
Earlier this month, NTPC Limited and EDF India signed a non-binding term sheet to collaborate on the development of pumped storage projects and hydro projects integrated with other renewable energy initiatives.
In the same month, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited issued a tender for a land and power evacuation package to facilitate the development of 600 MW solar power projects in Tumkur, Karnataka.
