NTPC Renewable Energy Limited has issued a request for proposals for the provision and installation of wind turbine generators (WTGs) for 960 MW inter-state transmission system connected wind project, tranche III. To be located in Karnataka, the project consists of two blocks. With a capacity of 492 MW and 468 MW, block I and block II will have 164 WTGs and 156 WTGs, respectively.
The project encompasses the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of WTGs rated at 3 MW or higher. The bid submission deadline is August 6, 2024.
The bidders are accountable for the complete operations and maintenance of the entire system for ten years following the project’s commissioning. This encompasses providing spare parts and consumables, as well as repairing or replacing any faulty equipment. They are required to secure statutory approvals and clearances for power evacuation, grid connectivity, and coordination with state nodal renewable energy agencies, as necessary. The bidders are required to be manufacturers of approved WTGs and have a minimum rating of 3 MW, as specified in the most recent Revised List of Models and Manufacturers issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
