NLC India Renewables Limited (NIRL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NLC India Limited, has received a letter of intent (LoI) from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) for the development of a 900 MW solar project. The project was awarded through a tariff-based competitive bidding process, and the power generated from the project will be procured by GUVNL.

In June 2026, NIRL signed a joint venture (JV) agreement with Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited for the development of green energy projects. The JV will establish, operate, and maintain 1 GW of green energy capacity across Odisha in the first phase.
