Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) inaugurated the 435 MW Gorbea solar power project as developed by Zelestra India in Rajasthan. The project was commissioned in under eight months and spans 1,250 acres. It is backed by a 25-year power purchase agreement with the Solar Energy Corporation of India. The project employs advanced tunnel oxide passivated contact bifacial mono passivated emitter and rear cell modules which is supported by over 1,300 robotic cleaning units. The evacuation infrastructure, including a dedicated substation and a 6.5 km transmission line, was completed in a record time of five months.
