Ahmedabad : Kosol Energie has announced a major strategic expansion into Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Green hydrogen, and Green ammonia sectors. This diversification announcement marks a significant step in the company’s commitment to building a comprehensive clean energy portfolio and supporting India’s ambitious net-zero goals.
The company plans to significantly increase its manufacturing capacity from 3.1 GW to 8.1 GW by FY Year 2027. This expansion is central to Kosol Energie’s long-term vision of becoming a key contributor to India’s target of achieving 500 GW of renewable energy by 2030.
“This milestone reaffirms our belief that quality and consistency pave the path towards the larger impact,” shared Kalpesh Kalthia, CMD of Kosol Energie. He further added, “As India accelerates towards its net-zero goals, Kosol Energie is proud to be a trusted partner in building the nation’s solar backbone—module by module, megawatt by megawatt. Our expansion into BESS, green hydrogen, and green ammonia positions us at the forefront of the energy transition, ready to deliver a full suite of sustainable solutions.”
Adding to its already installed solar base of 2.5 GW over the years, Kosol Energie has successfully commissioned a 15 MW AC ground-mounted solar power project for Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals (GSFC) at the Charanka recently.. This project has achieved world class level of 98% performance ratio which can be counted as one amongst the highest in the world which reinforces Kosol’s credentials as the trusted solar EPC player In the world.
Kosol is introducing its internationally successful innovations, including Microgrids, Solar Awnings, and Solar Curtains, to the Indian market. These products are being localized to optimize space and enhance energy efficiency for urban residential, commercial, and institutional sectors.
This expansion is backed by Kosol’s growing track record of executing high-impact solar projects across India. The company had secured a 400 MW supply order through Zetwerk for NTPC’s 1.6 GW Khavda Solar Project in Gujarat’s Rann of Kutch. The project, located in one of India’s most challenging terrains, demands high-performance modules. Kosol is supplying 550W bifacial modules tailored for tracker-mounted systems. These modules are fully compliant with MNRE, BIS, and ALMM standards, reflecting the company’s focus on domestic manufacturing excellence and regulatory alignment.
In addition to these strategic moves, Kosol Energie continues to serve the consumer market through its two distinct brands:
Sunray: A legacy brand with over four decades of presence, catering to more than 1 million users in solar water heating and rooftop segments.
Koraam: A brand focused on providing energy-efficient solar solutions for the agricultural sector, including solar pumps, dryers, and cookers.
With a current manufacturing capacity of 3.1 GWp, the recent launch of high-efficiency 620 Wp modules, and a growing list of key clients including NTPC, NLC, GSFC, and GIPCL, Kosol Energie is solidifying its position as a reliable partner in India’s clean energy ecosystem. The company’s expansion into new verticals and its innovation-led product strategy firmly places it on the path to becoming a next-generation clean energy platform with a significant national and global footprint.
