Karnataka Discloses Winners in 423.7 MW Solar Auction

Hubballi Electricity Supply Company, a distribution company (discom) of Karnataka, has announced the results of its 423.7 MW solar auction under the renewable energy service company mode. Under the auction, 30 companies emerged as winners and will commission a total of 80 solar projects. 

The winners, along with the number of projects and capacity won by them in the auction, are as follows: Ravindra Energy (13, 62 MW), Nithin Sai Constructions (8, 32 MW), Mahaveer Electro Mech (5, 29.7 MW),  and G G Anandswamy Gaddadevarmath (3, 15 MW). Furthermore, Sri Srinivasa Constructions India and Solar91 Cleantech each secured 9 projects with combined capacities of 68 MW and 51 MW, respectively.

Other winners of the auction, Savio Bio Organic and Fertilizers, and Shri Mallikarjun Petroleum, won 2 projects each with capacities of 15 MW and 13 MW, respectively. Additionally, Anil Patted Solar Energy and Lovedales Edutech each won a single project with a capacity of 10 MW each. The other winners of the solar auction won 27 projects with a combined capacity of 118 MW. 

According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work covers solarising electricity feeders and substation in the Hubballi Electricity Supply Company’s area. The tender was floated earlier in August 2025.
