ITI Limited Issues Tender for 500 MW Solar Module Manufacturing Line in Uttar Pradesh

Indian Telephone Industries (ITI) Limited, a public sector undertaking telecom manufacturing company, has issued a tender for the development of a 500 MW automatic solar PV module manufacturing line. The project will be developed on a turnkey basis at its Naini facility in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. 

According to the tender guidelines, the selected bidder will be responsible for supply, installation, and commissioning, along with process optimisation and a warranty period of two years. Additionally, the manufacturing line must be capable of producing modules with a maximum size of 2,500 mm x 1,400 mm, using solar cells up to 210 mm x 210 mm with a maximum of 22 busbars.

Furthermore, the system should also efficiently process thin PV solar cells with a thickness of at least 0.130 mm without causing mechanical or thermal stress. This requirement ensures that the facility is equipped to handle advanced solar technologies with minimal material degradation.
