Havells India Limited has entered into a strategic collaboration with Pixii AS, a Norway-based energy storage technology company, to develop and introduce battery energy storage systems (BESS) for the Indian market.
Under the collaboration, Havells will combine its manufacturing capabilities, sales and distribution network, and market presence with Pixii’s battery energy storage technology to offer advanced, modular BESS solutions for small-scale, commercial and industrial customers. The partnership will be implemented in phases, beginning with pilot installations to assess market requirements and validate commercial opportunities, along with the co-development of an all-in-one energy storage solution. It will subsequently focus on local manufacturing in India and the development of solutions tailored to the domestic market.
