Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) has announced the winners of its 500 MW grid-connected solar power projects (Phase XXV) with an additional greenshoe option of 500 MW. The tender was issued in August 2024.

Prozeal Green Energy, Kintech Synergy, Ausom Enterprise, Enertech Fuel Solutions, S.B.B. Mouldings, and Drashta Green Power secured capacities of 100 MW, 50 MW, 50 MW, 40 MW, 10 MW, and 10 MW, respectively, at a tariff of Rs 2.55 per kWh. SAEL was awarded 240 MW out of its quoted capacity of 300 MW at Rs 2.56 per kWh through the bucket-filling method. Kintech, Enertech, Drashta, and SAEL accepted greenshoe capacities of 50 MW, 203 MW, 7 MW, and 240 MW, respectively, at a tariff of Rs 2.55 per kWh.

Eligible projects included those under construction, yet to be commissioned, or already commissioned but without a long-term power purchase agreement with any entity. These projects were required to have no obligations under other central or state programmes and no commitments to existing buyers.

GUVNL mandated that all projects utilise solar modules listed in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. Solar projects could be set up within existing grid-connected wind farms if spare capacity was available for renewable energy integration at the Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation or central transmission utility substations.

In December 2024, GUVNL announced the results of its 500 MW/1,000 MWh standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS) Phase IV auction, with H.G. Infra Engineering, Advait Infratech, Kintech Synergy and Bhilwara Energy emerged as the winners.
