Gentari and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have inked a power purchase agreement (PPA) for a 80 MW wind power project in Tamil Nadu, India. The project is expected to commence operations in mid-2027 and is anticipated to generate around 300,000 MWh of renewable energy annually.
The PPA follows a collaboration agreement inked in 2023 and advances Gentari’s goal of delivering new, cost-effective, utility-scale renewable energy projects. Gentari is a clean energy solutions company. In India, the company’s renewable energy business has a growing portfolio of solar, wind, and battery storage projects designed to serve commercial, industrial, and utility-scale customers.
Earlier in June 2025, Gentari commissioned a 150 MWp open-access solar project in Dahegaon village, Yavatmal district, Maharashtra. Furthermore, in March 2025, Gentari Renewables completed the first phase of a two-phase transaction with Brookfield Asset Management, acquiring 1 GW of solar and wind assets of Brookfield’s 1.6 GW operational portfolio in India.
