The push for “quality homes” has featured in China’s Government Work Report for two consecutive years, first appearing in 2025 with a call for homes that are safe, comfortable, environmentally friendly and intelligently connected. The policy formalises a shift in housing expectations, away from basic provision and towards a higher standard of everyday life. The 2026 report builds on this, calling for the advancement of quality home construction and measures to raise property management standards. That shift is accelerating technology adoption in the building electrical sector and driving demand for intelligent services. GEBT 2026 will bring together leading brands and their latest solutions, with Hall 12.2 dedicated to home automation and Hall 13.2 to low-carbon intelligent building.
