GAIL India Limited (GAIL) has issued an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) tender to set up a 17.5 MW (AC) grid-connected floating solar photovoltaic (PV) plant. To be located at GAIL Pata in the Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh, the project scope covers the complete EPC work, including the design, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of the plant along with the associated power evacuation system.
Furthermore, the selected contractor for the project will be required to provide comprehensive operation and maintenance of the floating PV plant for three years and comprehensive annual maintenance of critical equipment for ten years. The deadline for bid submission is August 19, 2025.
Earlier in October 2024, GAIL issued a tender inviting bids for a 7.75 MW grid-connected floating solar project in Vijaipur, Madhya Pradesh.
