Restoring water damage requires a lot of time, effort and cost. Until now, noisy and power-guzzling building dryers have normally been the only way of repairing water damage to apartments from leaking pipes or following heavy rain and flooding. The “FastDry” ® technology developed by Fraunhofer IBP – Germany is fast and energy efficient for ensuring a high drying quality – particularly useful in water damage restoration and climate control.

The FastDry™ drying module is applied directly to the building component that needs drying. An integrated electric heater warms the component/ wall evenly and controlled. Thanks to the built-in thermal insulation, heat transfer into the room air is minimized. At the same time, the module’s vapor-permeable design allows moisture to escape freely from the building component (see schematic illustration).

The combination of the integrated temperature control and the insulation greatly reduce the energy consumption and thus greatly reduces energy costs. It meets the high-quality requirements of restoration companies and clients as well as the wish of insurances to reduce energy costs and setup costs.

Key Advantages:

▪ Fast Drying: Walls dry rapidly due to heating and temperature control. The breathable insulation layer allows moisture to escape from the wall through the module. No plastic enclosures are needed so setup time is very fast.

▪ Energy Efficient: Energy savings of up to 80% compared to other drying methods. The insulation and temperature control make the FastDry™ technology highly efficient.

▪ High Drying Quality: Controlled and even drying ensures a high quality.

▪ Silent operation: The noiseless operation also means that walls can be dried at night or in rooms while people are working.

▪ Flexibility: The panels are flexible to fit any surface. The modules can be easily stacked on top of one another and are secured by magnets

▪ Light Weight: The modules are light, making them quick and easy to install.

Our Offer:

We are looking for export-capable manufacturers in India (with EU-quality standards) and have the production capabilities and market ambition to commercialize FastDry. All licensing and IP matters will be handled directly by Fraunhofer IBP, with the partner operating under a technology transfer agreement.

  • European Battery Business Club [EBBC] Training Platform: Batteries are the energy storage devices of the future! To meet the enormous demand for batteries, production capacities will be established all over the world in the next decade. This will require thousands of skilled workers along the entire battery value chain – a process that will require extensive retraining and upskilling of existing staff and personnel.
