Foulath Holding, the parent company of Bahrain Steel and SULB, has signed an agreement with Yellow Door Energy to develop a 123 MWp solar power project in Bahrain.

The initiative comprises ten rooftop solar plants and four ground-mounted installations, cumulatively deploying over 189,900 solar panels across 707,000 square metres. Under the power purchase agreement, Yellow Door Energy will finance, design, construct, operate, and maintain the project. A key component will be a single-site 50 MWp rooftop plant featuring 77,000 panels installed on a 262,000 square metre stockyard shed. The project is expected to generate around 200 million kWh of clean energy in its first year, cutting carbon emissions by approximately 90,000 metric tonnes.
