EverEnviro Resource Management Private Limited, has signed an agreement to produce compressed biogas (CBG) for city gas distribution networks, according to an announcement at the India Energy Week 2024.

EverEnviro has been empanelled by Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) to set up multiple CBG production plants that will provide gas directly to IGL’s pipeline network in major cities. The empanelment was presented to EverEnviro representatives in a ceremony attended by officials from IGL and the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

The agreement supports EverEnviro’s expanding CBG business, which includes 20 plants under development across several states. The company is investing nearly Rs 20 billion in CBG projects that are expected to produce over 320 metric tonnes of gas per day.

In September 2023, state-owned Indian Oil Corporation Limited formed a 50:50 joint venture with EverEnviro to build additional CBG production capacity nationwide.
