New Delhi: To bolster India’s expanding electronics and semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) is deploying a robust talent architecture at the newly inaugurated ELCINA Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC) in Bhiwadi (Tijara), Rajasthan. Through its dedicated Common Utility Center (CUC), ESSCI will serve as the primary human capital partner, delivering specialized skilling frameworks and a continuous pipeline of highly trained, industry-ready technical workforce.

Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC), inaugurated virtually on May 15, 2026 by Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, CM Rajasthan, along with Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister for Electronics & Information Technology, and Shri Bhupender Yadav, Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, has emerged as a major industrial hub with investments of over Rs 1,200 crore from nearly 20 companies and the potential to generate employment for more than 2,700 people. Companies including Sahasra Semiconductors, E-Pack Durable and Aisan Fiem Industries are among the key players establishing operations within the cluster.

As the nodal skilling partner for the EMC, ESSCI will operate through its Common Utility Centre (CUC) to train youth in advanced electronics and semiconductor manufacturing processes. The council plans to offer industry-oriented training, certification, upskilling and reskilling programmes tailored to the requirements of companies operating in the cluster.

The training initiatives will focus on electronics assembly, semiconductor packaging and testing, automation, industrial safety, quality assurance and advanced manufacturing technologies. ESSCI will collaborate with industries, technical institutes and academic partners to create a steady pipeline of industry-ready professionals. “The electronics and semiconductor sector is witnessing rapid growth, creating a strong demand for skilled manpower. Through the ESSCI Common Utility Centre, we aim to equip youth with future-ready technical skills and provide industries with trained professionals aligned to evolving manufacturing requirements,” said Madhvendra Singh, CEO, ESSCI.

He added that the initiative would not only create employment opportunities for youth but also support India’s ambition of becoming a global hub for electronics and semiconductor manufacturing under the vision of Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat.

The ELCINA EMC has been developed across 50.3 acres under the Government of India’s Electronics Manufacturing Cluster Scheme with an investment of ₹46.09 crore. Industry experts believe the project will significantly boost regional industrial development, innovation and domestic electronics production while reducing dependency on imports.
