Amara Raja Infra Private Limited (ARIPL), a subsidiary of battery manufacturer Amara Raja, has won the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited’s (SECI) auction to supply the balance of systems (BoS) for a 300 MW grid-connected solar power project at Ramagiri, Andhra Pradesh.
The tender was issued in March 2024. The scope of work includes designing, engineering, procuring, constructing, and commissioning the project, along with five years of comprehensive operation and maintenance. However, the contract does not cover solar modules, which SECI will supply. The project is required to be completed within 18 months. The project contract is valued at Rs 5.44 billion. The contractor will be responsible for inspecting all solar modules supplied by SECI at the site and must provide the necessary test and guarantee certificates for material and equipment performance. The 300 MW project is part of the Central Public Sector Undertaking Scheme Phase II, which aims to develop 12,000 MW of grid-connected solar projects across India. These projects are eligible for the viability gap funding.
