Alternergy’s 100 MW Wind Project to Connect to Philippines’ National Grid

Alternergy Tanay Wind Corporation (ATWC), a subsidiary of Alternergy Holdings Corporation has signed an agreement with the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) to connect the 100 MW Tanay Wind Power Project in Rizal to the grid.

The 64 MW Alabat Wind Power Project in Quezon province follows a similar interconnection agreement. The Tanay Wind project will enter the development phase after receiving the certificate of confirmation of commerciality from the Department of Energy (DOE). Additionally, the project has secured commercial contracts for wind turbine delivery and construction. Alternergy aims to complete the wind project by 2025 as part of its efforts to expand its energy portfolio to include onshore and offshore wind, run-of-river hydropower, and solar projects, with a combined capacity of up to 1,370 MW.
