REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) has transferred the project-specific special purpose vehicle (SPV) Nawada Durgapur Power Transmission Limited to Shivalaya Construction Limited.
The SPV has been established for the interstate transmission system scheme “Eastern Region Expansion Scheme (ERES)-47; Nawada-Durgapur-Jeerat (New) 765 kV Corridor”, which Shivalaya Construction won through the tariff-based competitive bidding process. The project involves the development of a new 765 kV corridor connecting the Nawada substation in Bihar with the Durgapur and Jeerat (New) substations in West Bengal. The proposed corridor, together with the existing Ranchi (New)-Medinipur-Jeerat (New) 765 kV corridor, is planned to create a 765 kV ring in the eastern region grid.
