AMPIN Energy Transition has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) under Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) Tranche VII for its 199 MW/800 MWh firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) project. The project integrates renewable energy with battery energy storage system. The project was awarded under SECI’s 1,200 MW/4,800 MWh FDRE tender, in which AMPIN Energy Utility Nine, a subsidiary of AMPIN Energy Transition, secured a capacity at a tariff of Rs 6.28 per kWh.
The scope of work includes ensuring a daily supply of 4,000 kWh per MW of contracted capacity during four peak hours selected by the buying entity. It also includes identifying the land, setting up the project, obtaining statutory approvals, and securing connectivity arrangements with the interstate transmission system or state transmission utility.
