JSW Energy Limited has commissioned the second 80 MW unit of its 240 MW (3×80 MW) Kutehr hydroelectric power plant in Chamba, Himachal Pradesh.
The dispatch of power to Haryana has begun and the final 80 MW unit is expected to be commissioned soon. The project has a 35 year power purchase agreement with Haryana Power Purchase Centre at a levelised tariff of Rs 4.50 per kWh. Electricity will be supplied to Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited and Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited.
