ACEN and UPC Renewables have commenced construction of two large-scale renewable energy projects in India. This includes a 420 MW solar project in Rajasthan and a 120 MW wind project in Karnataka. Together, the 540 MW portfolio is expected to generate 1,158 GWh of clean electricity annually by early 2027.
Furthermore, the 420 MW solar plant, located in the high-irradiance Barmer region of Rajasthan is projected to deliver 767 GWh of electricity annually. The 120 MW wind facility in Karnataka will generate an estimated 391 GWh, utilising favourable wind conditions and terrain.
In January 2025, UPC Renewables secured 100 MW of capacity in SJVN’s 600 MW wind power auction at a tariff of Rs 3.99 per kWh. The tender was floated in March 2024.
