Bergen Pipe Supports India Private Limited has commissioned a 700 kW rooftop solar project in Sricity, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. The solar rooftop project was developed by Orb Energy. Moreover, the project was executed in two phases, with 350 kW installed in 2023 in phase 1, and another 350 kW added in phase 2 recently.
This project is expected to generate over 1 million units of electricity annually. Additionally, approximately 60 per cent of the company’s daytime electricity demand is anticipated to be met through solar generation, thereby cutting operational costs and dependence on grid power. Furthermore, the rooftop solar project is projected to help Bergen Pipe save more than Rs 7 million on electricity expenses annually. The total payback is estimated at 3 years and 8 months.
