Delta Electronics India has signed a 12-year power purchase agreement (PPA) to procure 9.6 million units of wind energy annually for its manufacturing and operational facilities in Tamil Nadu.
The power will be sourced from wind farms located in Tirunelveli, Tuticorin, and Tiruppur, and will be supplied through the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) grid.
The agreement is expected to reduce Delta’s carbon emissions by approximately 6,979 metric tonnes per year. The initiative is part of the company’s broader strategy to decarbonise its operations and contribute to India’s renewable energy and climate goals.
