Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Limited (IMFA) has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with AMPIN Energy Utility One Private Limited. Under this agreement, IMFA will procure 40 MW of contracted power demand through a hybrid renewable energy project.
The hybrid project includes 58 MW AC of solar capacity and 58 MW of wind capacity. The agreement aims to support IMFA’s long-term energy cost stability while also reducing its carbon emissions and support its environmental, social, and governance objectives.
In December 2024, IMFA entered into a joint venture with JSW Green Energy to source 70 MW of renewable energy for its smelting operations, committing Rs 832.6 million to a wind-solar hybrid project.
