Luminous Power Technologies has inaugurated a manufacturing facility in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, expanding its production of lead acid batteries. Spanning 8 acres in the SIDCUL Industrial Estate, the plant features a green positive plate manufacturing using 100 per cent grey oxide through a wet paste filling process for industrial batteries. It also features an acid circulation system, an automatic battery assembly line with twice the speed of conventional systems, and a high-speed battery charging process that enhances efficiency while conserving water.

Additionally, the facility houses a Lead Acid & Alternative Chemistry Laboratory to drive research in sustainable energy solutions. Moreover, the factory also incorporates 3,036 rooftop solar panels generating 1 MW of power. It also includes a smart interface for real-time monitoring of production, digital dashboards, and an innovative learning centre, DOJO, designed to enhance employee training at all levels.
