E.ON Hydrogen Selects ANDRITZ for Green Hydrogen Engineering Study Collaboration

E.ON Hydrogen has appointed ANDRITZ to conduct an engineering study for a green hydrogen electrolyzer plant in Essen, Germany. This project is ANDRITZ’s second green hydrogen order from Germany within a year. The plant, with a 20 MW capacity, is designed to produce 2,300 tonnes of green hydrogen annually.

The output will be utilised by nearby transportation companies and industries in the Essen harbour area. The contract includes feasibility and safety studies for the complete plant, covering hydrogen production, compression, storage, and trailer loading facilities. The study is set for completion by 2024.

E.ON Hydrogen, a division of E.ON, a prominent European energy network and infrastructure company, is dedicated to utilising hydrogen to combat climate change. The company aims to drive the decarbonisation of the transport and industrial sectors by delivering innovative hydrogen solutions.
