Jindal India Renewable Energy Plans 1 GWh Battery Pack Assembly Line by 2025

Jindal India Renewable Energy (JIRE) has announced its plan to develop Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Their first plan is to develop a 1 GWh battery pack assembly line with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry by 2025. Following this, they will enter the battery cell manufacturing sector with a capacity of 5 GWh by 2027.

JIRE is a subsidiary of the BC Jindal group. This will enable the company to expand their portfolio, contribute to grid stability and further integration of renewable resources. JIRE has also announced its plans to generate 5 GW of power from solar, wind, hybrid and FDRE. Furthermore, they will also start manufacturing solar photovoltaic cells and modules.
