Coal India Limited has issued a tender inviting bids to develop a solar project in Khavda solar park, Gujarat. It will be a grid-connected ground-mounted project. The last date of submission of the bid is September 23, 2024.
The scope of the tender covers the design, engineering, procurement, supply of equipment and materials, erection, testing, and commissioning of the project. Supplying, packaging and forwarding, the transportation of photovoltaic modules up to Khavda solar park are also a part of the project.
According to the tender guidelines, the bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 5 million. In the last three financial years, the net worth of the bidders should have been positive and their average annual turnover at least Rs 39.2 million.
In July 2024, CIL, through their subsidiary Central Mine Planning & Design Institute had issued a request for proposals for commissioning of a grid-connected 70 MW solar project to be located in Western Coalfields, Nagpur Maharashtra.
