NTPC Announces Results for 1 GW Wind-Solar Hybrid Auction

NTPC Limited has declared the results of recent auction for 1,000 MW of inter-state transmission system-connected wind-solar hybrid power projects under Tranche VI.

Juniper Green Energy, JSW Neo Energy (JSW Energy), TEQ Green Power (O2 Power), Adyant Enersol (Datta Infra), and Avaada Energy have emerged as winners. Juniper Green Energy secured 150 MW with the lowest tariff of Rs 3.43 per kWh. JSW Neo Energy won 300 MW, TEQ Green Power secured 250 MW, and Adyant Enersol obtained 70 MW, each at a tariff of Rs 3.45 per kWh. Meanwhile, Avaada Energy won 230 MW at Rs 3.46 per kWh.

In July 2024, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited issued a request for proposals for the provision and installation of wind turbine generators (WTGs) for 960 MW inter-state transmission system connected wind project, tranche III. To be located in Karnataka, the project consists of two blocks. With a capacity of 492 MW and 468 MW, block I and block II will have 164 WTGs and 156 WTGs, respectively.

The project encompasses the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of WTGs rated at 3 MW or higher. The bid submission deadline is August 6, 2024.

In June 2024, NTPC Limited issued a request for proposals for the development of 1,200 MW inter-state transmission system connected solar projects. The projects will be located anywhere in India.
