Levanta Renewables Expands into Thai Renewable Energy Market

Levanta Renewables, a renewable energy developer and independent power producer owned by Actis, has acquired a 90 per cent controlling stake in a 139.4 MWp operational solar project portfolio in Thailand. Furthermore, these projects were purchased from Super Energy Corporation Public Co. Ltd. and its subsidiary, Super Energy Group Co. Ltd.

The portfolio consists of 24 ground-mounted solar farms located in four Thai provinces. Additionally, each solar farm has secured a 25-year power purchase agreement with the Provincial Electricity Authority of Thailand. This acquisition marks Levanta’s first venture into the Thai renewables market.

In June 2024, Actis established Orygen. Orygen is an energy platform which will operate as an independent power producer in Peru. The establishment of Orygen follows Actis’ acquisition of a 92.35 per cent stake in Enel Generación Perú S.A.A. and 100 per cent ownership in Compania Energetica Veracruz last month.
