NTPC Limited has issued a request for proposals for the development of 1,200 MW inter-state transmission system connected solar projects. The projects will be located anywhere in India.
The minimum bidding capacity must be 50 MW and can increase in increments of 10 MW. Bidders are allowed to submit bids for a minimum project size of 50 MW at a single location. A single bidder can be allotted a maximum capacity of 600 MW. The total capacity proposed by any bidder must not surpass 600 MW. NTPC will sign a 25-year power purchase agreement with the developer for solar power procurement. In order to minimise technological uncertainties and guarantee the timely commissioning of projects, only commercially proven and operational technologies are allowed for implementation. The bid submission deadline is July 18, 2024.
