Sembcorp to Provide Green Ammonia to Japan from Indian Plant

Singapore-based Sembcorp Green Hydrogen, a subsidiary of Sembcorp Industries, has entered into an agreement with two Japanese firms Sojitz Corporation and Kyushu Electric Power Company towards the supply of green ammonia from its capacity plant in India.

This agreement is a preliminary step toward a definitive green ammonia offtake arrangement. Sembcorp has secured land for its facility in India and is progressing towards a front-end engineering design award following the completion of a feasibility study. As the lead developer and operator, Sembcorp plans to utilize renewable energy to produce an initial 200,000 tonnes per annum of green ammonia at the Indian plant
