Solar Energy Corporation of India has issued a request for proposals to develop 500 MW of inter-state transmission system (ISTS) connected wind projects, tranche XVII. The projects will be located anywhere in India.
According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work under the project includes establishing wind projects, encompassing the transmission network up till the delivery point, land identification, installation, ownership, and getting approvals and connectivity with ISTS network, state transmission utility (STU), or intra-state transmission system network. The bidders are required to submit Rs 1.29 million per MW per project as an earnest money deposit. The bid submission deadline is July 8, 2024.
The developer can set up the project within the same state as the purchasing entity to facilitate STU interconnection. The selection process of wind power technology will remain technology-neutral. A bidder, along with its parent, affiliate, ultimate parent, or any group company, is required to submit a single bid, offering a minimum and a maximum capacity of 50 MW and 250 MW, respectively.
In order to minimise technological uncertainties and guarantee the prompt commissioning of projects, only commercially proven and operational technologies are allowed for implementation. Additionally, under the tender, only type-certified wind-turbine models issued by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, listed in Revised list of Models and Manufacturers will be allowed.
