Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued a request for proposals to develop 1,200 MW inter-state transmission connected solar projects, tranche XVI. To be located throughout India, the projects will be developed on the basis of build, own, and operate model.
According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work under the project includes establishing solar projects, encompassing the transmission network up till the delivery point, land identification, installation, ownership, and getting approvals and connectivity. The interconnection at ISTS will be done at a minimum voltage level of 220 kV. The bidders are required to submit Rs 942,000 per MW as an earnest money deposit. The developers are required to furnish Rs 2.35 million per MW as a performance bank guarantee. The bid submission deadline is June 12, 2024.
The winning bidders will enter into a power purchase agreements with SECI to deliver solar power for a period of 25 years. The bidders can quote a minimum and maximum capacity of 50 MW and 600 MW per project. The bidders sharing land border with India are eligible to bid.
