IOCL Tenders Operational & Maintenance for 1 MW Captive Solar Project

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has issued a request for proposals for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a 1 MW grid-connected open access captive solar project. The project will be located at its northern region pipelines in Kurukshetra, Haryana.

According to the tender guidelines, the tender requires an earnest money deposit of Rs 641,700, with exemptions for central and state public sector undertakings, as well as joint ventures of IOCL. In addition to initiating the project, the contract will include one year of comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) services post-construction, along with an additional nine years of extended support for operation and maintenance. The bid submission deadline is April 29, 2024.

The contract spans 127 months starting from the date of acceptance letter, divided into two parts. Part-A lasts for 19 months, consisting of 7 months for project commissioning and one year for operation and maintenance (O&M). Part-B extends for 9 years following the completion of Part-A. To be eligible, the potential bidders are required to have undertaken a minimum of 1 MW on-grid solar power project with net-metering or gross metering or net billing or feed-in or open access facility in any sector, serving as either the primary contractor or subcontractor, within the preceding seven years. The bidders must have completed three similar projects, each valued at announces a minimum of Rs 21 million; two similar projects, each valued at a minimum of Rs 28 million, and one similar project valued at a minimum of Rs 35 million.
