RWE Clean Energy has formed a strategic partnership with renewables developer WhiteRock Renewables (WhiteRock) to accelerate the expansion of RWE’s onshore wind, solar, and energy storage development pipeline in the US, aiming for record growth.

This strategic partnership with WhiteRock strengthens RWE’s development efforts in the US by allowing for parallel growth of its renewables development platform in this key market. Onshore wind, solar, and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects are anticipated to be created and developed by WhiteRock to a capacity of 4 to 5 GW. RWE will have the option to purchase these projects upon their maturity and readiness for a definitive investment decision.
