EVNNPT Launches 500 kV Quang Tri Substation Project in Vietnam

Vietnam Electricity National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), a subsidiary of the state-owned Vietnam Electricity (EVN), has launched the construction of the 500 kV Quang Tri substation and its Quang Tri–Vung Ang branch–Danang connection line project, with a total investment of VND965 billion.

The Central Power Projects Management Board will manage the project on behalf of EVNNPT. It is set to be completed in the second quarter of 2025, aiming to ensure electricity supply to regional loads, help local power plants to operate at full capacity, and improve reliability and safety of power supply to the regional grid.
