NLC India Limited (NLCIL) has issued a request for proposals to supply solar modules of capacity 393.9 MW, for Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited’s solar park. The project will be located in Khavda, Gujarat.

According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work under the project includes the production, packaging, forwarding, and transportation, encompassing transit insurance of crystalline solar modules till Khavda. The provided modules should have a minimum power output of 540 Wp and must be either monocrystalline or TopCon silicon-bifacial. The modules should function effectively within ambient temperatures ranging from -10 °C to +60 °C. The solar modules are required to have a minimum warranty period of 12 years. Additionally, they should also be guaranteed for their output peak watt capacity, ensuring it remains at no less than 90 per cent at the conclusion of 12 years and 80 per cent at the conclusion of 30 years. NLC retains the authority to request the bidder to provide up to 30 per cent additional solar modules under identical terms and conditions.

Furthermore, the bidders are required to have delivered solar modules or cells with a combined capacity of 40 MWp or more, and among these, at least one supply order should be for a capacity of 10 MWp or higher, before the bid opening date.

In January 2024, NLCIL issued a tender to commission 100 MW inter-state transmission system connected solar projects in India.

In October 2023, NLCIL established a wholly-owned subsidiary, NLC India Green Energy Limited.
