Winners Announced for NTPC’s 1.2 GW Wind-Solar Auction: Sembcorp, Adani, Green Prairie, Adyant Enersol, and ReNew

Sembcorp Green Infra, Adani Renewable Energy, Green Prairie Energy III (EverGreen), Adyant Enersol (DATTA INFRA), and ReNew Solar have been selected as the winners in NTPC’s auction to develop inter-state transmission system (ISTS) connected wind-solar hybrid power projects of 1.2 GW capacity.

Green Prairie and Adyant Enersol were awarded 200 MW and 70 MW respectively at a quoted tariff of Rs 3.28 per kWh. Sembcorp Green, Adani Renewable Energy, and ReNew Solar were awarded a capacity of 300 MW, 600 MW, and 30 MW, respectively at a quoted tariff of Rs 3.29 per kwh.

According to the tender guidelines, the wind-solar hybrid projects can be located anywhere in India and they can be executed through special purpose vehicles. For developing the wind power projects, the government’s guidelines for wind power project development must be followed.
