Waaree Energies Limited has received an order to supply 150 MWp of n-type TOPCon bifacial glass-glass solar modules, rated at 585/590 Wp, for a renewable energy project in India. The modules will be supplied to a domestic renewable power developer that owns and operates renewable energy projects across the country. Delivery is scheduled for the financial year 2025-26.
In December 2024, Waaree Energies Limited approved plans to establish a 300 MW electrolyser manufacturing facility and a 3.5 GWh lithium-ion Advanced Chemistry Storage Cell production plant under the Production-Linked Incentive scheme, requiring Rs 5.51 billion CAPEX and Rs 2 billion investment, funded through debt and internal accruals. In the same month, Waaree Energies secured solar module supply orders for N-type Topcon modules totaling 398 MW for two renewable energy projects in India, with capacities of 249 MW and 149 MW.
