Uniper and WAP Energia have formed a development partnership for an onshore wind power portfolio in Poland. The collaboration involves six distinct early-stage onshore wind projects, aiming for a combined capacity of up to 600 MW. Furthermore, Uniper will oversee the development and financial aspects of the projects.

In May 2024, Uniper partnered with NGEN to develop a 50 MW/100 MWh battery storage system at the Heyden power plant site in Petershagen. The battery storage system is anticipated to be operational by 2025. The partnership between Uniper and NGEN emphasises the joint commitment to innovation and sustainability.
